Garry F. Connell, Esq.

Mr. Connell was born in Miami Beach, Florida. He attended Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1984 and a Master of Public Administration Degree in 1995. Mr. Connell earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami Law School in December 2000, where he graduated Cum Laude and was the commencement speaker at his classes’ graduation ceremony. Mr. Connell was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 2001 and the United States Southern District of Florida in November 2006. Mr. Connell has tried cases to jury verdicts in both Dade and Broward Counties.

In 2001, Mr. Connell went to work for the Insurance Defense Law firm of Conroy Simberg and Ganon, P.A. After spending two and half years as an associate attorney for Florida’s largest Insurance Defense firm, Mr. Connell went to work for the Law Offices of Roland Gomez, P.A. After a year as an associate attorney with Roland Gomez’s office, Mr. Connell spent the next four years with the Insurance Defense Law firm of Cole Scott & Kissane, in Plantation, Florida. In July 2008, Mr. Connell went into private practice establishing the Law Offices of Garry F. Connell. The firm’s areas of expertise include Personal Injury and Criminal Defense.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Connell was a State Investigator with both the Auditor General’s Office and Florida Secretary of State’s Office. He has also held professional positions in Security and Loss Prevention Management and owned a Private Investigative company. In addition, Mr. Connell has eleven years of bodily injury claims adjusting experience, including tenures with the Traveler’s Insurance Company, U. S. Security Insurance Company, Corporate Claim Services and Florida Intracoastal Underwriters, Ltd.

Mr. Connell is also very active in the community. He is a member of the St. Gregory’s Men’s Club, Plantation Chamber of Commerce, Riverwalk Trust, Inc., New River Business Exchange, and the Winterfest Boat Parade. Mr. Connell also volunteers his time in the Big Brothers’ School Buddies Program where he mentors an elementary student and by delivering meals as a volunteer driver with the Broward County Meals on Wheels program. Mr. Connell enjoys golf, boating, weightlifting and attending local sporting events.
